We make furniture. Our clients come to us because we can manufacture precisely what they require. If architects or designers bring us a finished design, we can follow both the spirit and the letter of the specification to produce a result which is true to the designer's intentions. Alternatively we can work from a simple sketch, solving functional and visual problems to achieve what the client has in mind. In other instances we can submit our own designs to answer the client's brief.
We work at the middle to the top end of the market, for clients who require high quality and an understanding of design. We have the versatility to meet almost any requirement. For example, we make chairs as well as other kinds of furniture. Our workshops are comprehensively equipped, including our own veneering plant. We can handle within a single assignment all the elements that might be required - including stainless steel, granites, glass and upholstery materials.
Clients may commission us to make a single item, or to handle a contract worth hundreds of thousands of pounds. In the fifteen years since Opus Magnum was set up by Jonathan Baulkwill and Chris Turner, we have gained experience in most sectors, with projects spanning companies, institutions, leisure and the arts, education, flagship retailing and private individuals.
